No. Margo is local-first by default. Workspace data is designed to remain on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

Clips are saved selections or regions from a Material that stay connected to their original context, so you can return to the source.

When does Margo use the microphone?

Margo records audio only when you add a Workspace Recording. It does not use background or automatic recording.
